What is E-commerce (or eCommerce)

E-commerce (also known as electronic commerce or EC) is the buying and selling of goods and/or services thru the Internet, especially the World Wide Web. Imagine a store in which you can go from everywhere you have access to the Internet. You can check out the product catalogs, pick up the desired product or service and order it all by sitting in front of a computer connected to the Internet. E-business is also a term which is used when we talk about E-commerce.
